Press Release:

Goodbye, Bauhaus. After almost seven years, PLATO is leaving the former DIY store

5000 square meters for contemporary art. With this slogan, the PLATO gallery invites visitors to visit its previous location, the former DIY store building. Since 2018, when the Ostrava City Gallery of Contemporary Art opened the Bauhaus building to the public, over 200 artists, more than 60 institutions, platforms and communities, hundreds of schools and thousands of visitors have passed through it. Its operation ends on the last day of June, the city's management is planning a new construction there in the long term and envisages the demolition of the building. Two final events will be held here on Friday, June 28 at 5pm and Sunday, June 30 at 4pm.
