Ten years ago, it didn’t even have its own space. Just a small, passionate team and a brand-new charter. Within nine months, it was already welcoming visitors with its first exhibition in a rented space. Today, the PLATO, city gallery of contemporary art in Ostrava, is housed in an award-winning building in the center of Ostrava, has established itself on the Czech and international art scenes, and maintains strong international connections. And it benefits its surroundings—both people and nature. PLATO was founded on July 1, 2016. What changes has it contributed to during its existence?
