PLATO is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The highlight of the celebrations is the international exhibition Soil and Friends.

The Ostrava City Gallery of Contemporary Art is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. To mark this occasion, we invite you to a press conference where we will present the main project of our anniversary program – the exhibition Soil and Friends. It will take place on April 29 at 11 am at PLATO.

The exhibition features approximately thirty artists from the Czech Republic and other European countries and is being organized in collaboration with the Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw.

Curators Edith Jeřábková and Marianna Dobkowska offer a multi-layered narrative about soil as a biological system, cultural space, historical archive, and political topic. The event will include a guided tour of the exhibition.

We will also present the gallery’s 10th-anniversary program at the conference.
