An evening with judge of the Constitutional Court Kateřina Šimáčková and the political scientist Ondřej Slačálek.

The presenter is the psychologist, social worker and activist Jakub Černý.

Judge of the Constitutional Court Kateřina Šimáčková graduated from the Faculty of Law at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Brno (today’s Masaryk University). She lectures the courses of constitutional law, political science, state science and media law. She was involved in constitutional complaints and some areas of administrative, financial and private law. From 2007 she was a member of the Legislative Council of the Government and from 2008 a member of the Committee for the Selection of Judges for the European Union Civil Service Tribunal. In 2009 she was appointed judge and assigned to the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic.

Ondřej Slačálek is a political scientist, university lecturer (Faculty of Arts Charles University) and publicist (A2, Nový Prostor, Britské listy), described as a left-wing intellectual. He published translations of Michel Chossudovsky’s War and Globalisation (2003) and Noam Chomsky and Michel Foucault’s Human Nature: Justice vs. Power (2005). He is the author of the publications Anarchismus. Svoboda proti moci (2006) and Průvodce anarchismem. Myšlenky – proudy – osobnosti (2006) together with Václav Tomek.
