Jean-Luc Godard, director, script writer, critic, creator of video-essays, actor and producer and one of the most controversial figures of world cinematography of the second half of the twentieth century described his linguistic film as follows: “It is about a man and his woman who no longer understand each other as they do not speak the same language.”
