Debate:

Ostrava’s Earthliness

Location:
  1. PLATO, Porážková 26

Recommended admission fee 30 CZK

A non-expert testimony about landscape changes in the Ostrava region due to the climate crisis.

You are invited to a participative debate inspired by its guests’ contributions on the topic of earthliness and the search for ways of depicting the climate crisis and talking about it outside the vocabulary of contemporary science and politics.

We will ask each other what shapes the environment that we inhabit and how nature in and around Ostrava is adapting, without human help, to situations caused by climate change (i.e. by ourselves). And how/whether we have noticed these changes.

We are looking forward to the meeting; some parts of it will be filmed and then presented through film and audio at the 11th edition of Fotograf Festival 2021, titled “Earthlings” by its curator Lukáš Likavčan.
