Guided tour:
What is the concept of the interior design of our new headquarters? How was the author's furniture designed? And why hydroponics? An afternoon with architect and interior designer Yvette Vašourková.
Architect Yvette Vašourková is the author of furniture found in the reconstructed municipal slaughterhouse. She designed furniture made of bent tubes and fibreboards, and suggested which plants will surround us. And, last but not least, she also designed the green wall and hydroponic lettuce farm in our bistro.
Yvette Vašourková graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague, majoring in Architecture and Urban Planning in 2001. She then followed with her PhD studies at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, the Netherlands (2005-2007), where she focused on the tendencies of contemporary urbanism. She is a founding member of the Centre for Central European Architecture and a partner of MOBA Studio, which she founded together with Igor Kovačević. She is a member of the editorial board of ERA21 magazine.
