Come and plant 10 trees in the gallery garden with us and gardener Denisa Tomášková to mark 10 years of PLATO.

Programme:

9 am–1 pm
Joint tree planting – from species that will eventually bear fruit to those that will offer shade to future generations in the heat of summer. We will be planting ginkgo, pagoda tree, oak, cherry plum, plum, sour cherry, apricot, and mulberry trees, all under the expert guidance of gardener and permaculture designer Denisa Tomášková.

1 pm–3 pm
Shared refreshments for all volunteers.

This event is part of PLATO’s all-day 10th birthday celebration. Starting at 4 pm, we will symbolically christen the trees – come join us!

Denisa Tomášková is a permaculture lecturer, designer, and owner of a flower farm in the Elbe region (Polabí). She studied permaculture under leading world experts, most notably the founder of permaculture, Bill Mollison, and his student Geoff Lawton. Currently, she serves as director of the Czech Permaculture Institute, which brings together permaculture educators and designers, and where she teaches permaculture design alongside various gardening and land stewardship techniques. In her work, she focuses on the rigorous application of permaculture principles on site—primarily water management and related earthworks, as well as soil care, composting, and intensive food production.
