PLATO

The second all-day meeting for the current exhibition will take you to the streets and the cinema

Public Editorial Meeting II, a day-long event dedicated to the current exhibition Runaway, Found a Hideout, Still Escaping, will take place on Saturday 27/1. It will offer film screenings, a demonstration for better coexistence between humans and animals, and a program for families.

At the morning workshop full of art games, children aged 4–7 years old can get to know various beautiful, non-beautiful puppies under the guidance of the lecturer and set designer Jana Adamec Tkáčová. Children are also welcome to attend an afternoon screening of the animated film Animal Farm, made in 1954 by classic British animators based on George Orwell's famous satirical fable.

With Fuki, the barber and hairdresser from Pigeon Hair Salon, and David Přílučík, winner of the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize, you can head out in the afternoon – equipped with slogans, costumes, dancing and shouting – for an inter-species demonstration in the public space.

And the evening will belong to the film. We'll be showing Animot, a short experimental documentary about man's proximity to animals, and All That Breathes, a feature-length documentary about two brothers who run a rescue station for birds of prey in India, and whose philosophy is respect for life.

The exhibition Escaped, Found a Hideout, Still on the Run is accompanied by a total of three day-long public events, called Public Editorial Meetings. Through readings, listening, performances, workshops, lectures and other programming, they develop and reflect on the exhibition's theme of respectful coexistence between humans and animals. The last meeting will take place on 1/3.
