The Kosmos cinema in Třinec became the focus of Markéta Žáčková's research, who mapped the architecture, history, operation, and role of this cultural facility in the social life of a strategically important industrial center of what was then Czechoslovakia. She published her findings on the Octopus Press platform and used them in her sound installation for the current exhibition at the PLATO Kino Kosmos.

On October 22, the author will also give a lecture at the Ostrava City Gallery, where she will present this remarkable building against the backdrop of the local dialect, po naszymu. The press release also includes an interview about the research process.
