Jan Bělíček, editor of the A2 journal, on books and films trying to incorporate culture into the life of the poorest classes.

Although political tension had been felt in Europe for some time, a new global issue only emerged with Brexit and Donald Trump being elected the American president. Who are the voters bringing authoritarian and conservative leaders to power? They are often (but not always) angry white men and women from neglected and deprived regions of the individual countries. In recent years there have appeared a large number of books and films that aim to remedy this state. Can they succeed? And what should such a revolution look like?
