Site-specific performance in which the artists aim to exploit art for the needs of the audience, not the other way round. It is a pilot project of the Travelling Company established this year.
The Gallery/Gaffa/Galleon performance is a pilot project of the Travelling Company formed in 2019 by David Fesl and Sláva Sobotovičová. Apart from sound, the performance resonates with the motifs of urban waste, war strategization and pop effects. The moving force behind Gallery/Gaffa/Galleon is the production of an instrument carrying a message of the performers and the invention of beat as the basis for a new musical composition.
David Fesl and Sláva Sobotovičová started to work together in 2017. Their joint projects include a residence in the INI space in Prague culminating in the event “We would like you to be our exhibit” (2017), the “Famous Writer” exhibition closing the activities of the Writing Club at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague which the artists led together (2017), the “Freelance DJ” exhibition in the Kabinet T. gallery in Zlín (2018) and the text Blind Spots for the catalogue of the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize for 2018.
