An Evening of Film and Video Works by the Rafani art group with author comments from group members David Kořínek and Jiří Franta.

The moving image is important to the Rafani group, both as a means of recording an action or performance and as a medium for capturing staged events. The programme focusses on Rafani’s appropriation of various genres, such as music videos, television broadcasting, or film grotesques.

Czech art group Rafani was founded in 2000, and has long been concerned with public space art, the structural concept of exhibitions, as well as with metaphoric possibilities of art conceived as an instrument with the potential to activate local environment and site-specific discourse. The current members of the group are Luděk Rathouský, David Kořínek, Jiří Franta and Ondřej Brody. They live and work in Prague.
