Audio-visual requiem for Homo sapiens by documentarist Viera Čákanyová.

“Frem” is a meaningless word; a word that only reminds of something. Its closest etymological connotation is the Old English word “fremde” meaning “strange, foreign”. When attempting to create a universal artificial intelligence, anthropomorphic thinking cannot be avoided, because we cannot cross the borders of our minds. The film FREM is an attempt to get beyond these borders; an attempt to create a non-anthropomorphic film. It is an audio-visual requiem for the Homo sapiens species.
