Together & Close – our theme for this year. Together, we will embroider a large tablecloth, make homemade Ukrainian cakes and top it with candles and a harp.

Programme:

5 pm–9.50 pm
TOGETHER & CLOSE – EMBROIDERING A TABLECLOTH
We will dedicate our time to a handicraft that has been connecting us since time immemorial and enables us to express our longings and wishes in the symbolic language of shapes and colours. This year, we will embroider together a large tablecloth. We will connect genders, age groups, families, and perhaps even nations.

9.50 pm
ENDING IT WITH CANDLES AND A HARP
We will strengthen the feeling of proximity by a symbolic final act. We will sit down at a large table covered with the tablecloth we embroidered together and candles, and we will listen to the sounds of the harp as performed by Petra Bendová and wait for the final moment. Blow a candle and make a wish…

5 pm–10 pm
ENJOY 5,000 M2
During the entire event, you can explore and use all the spaces, including the cinema, garden, bookstore, concert stage, reading room and material library. You can also make your library card.

We will also offer homemade Ukrainian cakes. All proceeds will go to the Organization for Aid to Refugees.
