Lívie Škutová lives in Ostrava and works at PLATO Bauhaus. Her work includes tattooing, crochet, drawing and graphic design. With her one-eyed female dog Kajka, Lívie Škutová discovers Ostrava’s non-places and vague patches and draws inspiration from them for the dens and hiding places she sews. Apart from these, she also makes a series of outfits for the animals, for which she is inspired both by the aforementioned non-places, and the fanciful plants from around the unpopular parts of the city. In addition, she draws monsters and sad heroines and heroes in zines, prints them by self-help on a risograph and publishes them in her LISK publishing house. She collaborates with the Bublina student magazine, published at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno, and participates in the activities of the For A Beautiful Ostrava association and the Fiducia second-hand bookshop. As part of her cooperation with intercity collectives, she created the visual identity and merch for the Olomouc Music Festival and the Hlubina collective. She is a graduate of the Intermedia Studio at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava.
