Opening:
Photographs from students of Social Work at the University of Ostrava capturing the most powerful moments that stuck in their minds after meeting stories told by people with experience of social exclusion. The Living Library.
The photos relate to what students would like to change in society. Common themes are oppression, disadvantage of one group over another, prejudice and invisibility. The exhibition will also feature short videos with stories of people with lived experience of social exclusion.
The opening will take place on 12/12 at 5 pm. Visitors can enjoy a live library from 5.30 pm. They will have the opportunity to choose from four stories about overcoming social exclusion and ‘read’ a ‘living book’ performed by a narrator. This will be followed by an informal session. Refreshments provided.
The exhibition runs until 12/1/2025.
The exhibition is co-financed by the European Union from the Eramus+ programme.
