The lecture will go in a speculative direction, where, in addition to the diagnosis itself, there will also be a reflection on how to formulate criticism so that it is not immediately a “vampire castle”.
Barbora Ilič (*1993) is an artist, curator and PhD student at the Brno University of Technology, whose work deals with the power of romanticization and the issue of reparative tendencies in art and in a broader social context. Her works often include references to B-cinema and pop culture in the form of low theory. She is currently working within the Brno-based curatorial collective Cejla and the art collective UglyBrno. He lives and works in Brno.
