An evening subtitled “Women’s Memory, Ephemeral Memorials, and the Visual Rewriting of History” with the Slovak artist, who will present her project Women in the Slovak National Uprising.

Based on oral history research and archival sources, Erika Mészárosová will present the concept of ephemeral memorials as an artistic strategy that brings forgotten female experiences to life and seeks new forms of collective remembrance in public space. The author will demonstrate how art and oral history can bring forgotten stories to life, offering new ways of remembering.
