While working in the garden, Denisa Tomášková will recommend which trees and shrubs are best suited for the garden, how and when to plant them. We will also mulch, and prepare the garden for winter. Lunch together.

At the November meeting in the PLATO garden, while caring for it together, we will learn how to choose the right shrub for a given location, show how to plant it, and ensure that it survives the winter and thrives in the years to come. We will talk about mycorrhiza and other needs of trees and shrubs in our gardens.

We will then take a tour of the garden, talk about how to prepare it for the dormant part of the year and ensure a successful spring start, because the next growing season begins this fall.

Program:

1–2 pm lunch by the fire (weather permitting, lunch will be provided in any case)
2–3 pm working together in the garden
