New permanent intervention in front of PLATO entrance. Take or bring.

The freeshop was designed by artists as a functional object where you can find clothes, utensils, books, flowers, electronics, office supplies and other items according to seasonal need (except food and medicine) and take them for free. At the same time, anyone can bring these items that are needless at home to the freeshop.

The freeshop also includes a list of needed items. Write what you need here, or read and bring what others need.

The freeshop is intended to serve the socially disadvantaged, students or homeless people, but also those who will use its contents or like the idea. We are all about the principle of solidarity, strengthening trust and improving local relationships.

What may be rubbish or useless thing for one person, another may find as something he or she needs. Sustainability, circulation and non-growth are among the fundamental ideological pillars of freeshop, as well as a more Earth-friendly approach and a rethinking of our consumption habits.

For the realisation of the object we used the offer from the Library of Materials containing samples of residual and waste materials from mainly Ostrava companies, which can be obtained free of charge.
