Let's explore the topics of boundaries and interpenetration, and membrane permeability. We will debate the refugee crisis, walls and barriers, but also the bacteria inside our bodies, or islands.

In the Bialowieza Forest in the Polish border region, an imaginary island was created in the past, where symbiosis between different species of plants, animals and people thrived. Today, the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border is the opposite. We will explore what was and is happening in the former forest garden together with Lech Wilczek, the author of the photographs in the exhibition Primeval Forest, Garden and Wall.

We will touch on the movement of plants, and the natural habitat of animals, focusing on detail and then stepping back to see the world from a broader perspective.
