Exceptional event:
How were the pig slaughterhouse and cold storage turned into exhibition halls? What does the atrium and galleries on the first floor, the future café and PLATO offices look like?
Come and see the newly reconstructed abattoir before PLATO moves in. Take advantage of the extraordinary opportunity to peek into the (almost) empty building and learn about its architectural design.
Two exhibitions accompany the extraordinary opening of the building. The first one, entitled Reactivation, presents the Ostrava municipal slaughterhouse and its surroundings. The second exhibition, Moving Architecture, presents the author of the reconstruction, Robert Konieczny, and the KWK Promes studio.
Held by the City of Ostrava in collaboration with PLATO and the Municipal Studio of Spatial Planning and Architecture (MAPPA).
The final inspection of the reconstructed abattoir was carried out in April 2022.
