The City of Ostrava finishes the reconstruction of a cultural heritage site. Exceptional programme.

The City of Ostrava reconstructed the cultural heritage site of the former municipal slaughterhouse for the needs of the PLATO city gallery and decided to introduce the reconstruction and its process to the public.

At this occasion, the City of Ostrava organises two exhibitions, a lecture by architect Robert Konieczny, the author of the reconstruction, a morning coffee with Ostrava Mayor, guided tours for children, and an evening with the association Okrašlovací spolek Za krásnou Ostravu.

What makes this event unique is the opportunity to enjoy pure architecture and (almost) empty space before PLATO moves in. When the city exhibitions end, we will close the building, move in and start installing the inaugural exhibition, which will open in the second half of September 2022.
